ISIS Buying Nuclear Weapons From Pakistan?

What do ISIS members and Pakistan citizens both have in common?

They are adherents of the Muslim Sunni faith.

And that is exactly where the potential for ISIS to acquire a nuclear weapon comes from.

Iran is a predominantly Shiite country which is an enemy of both ISIS and Pakistan. Now that there is a very realistic threat of Iran becoming a nuclear power it would be in the interest of Pakistan to arm ISIS with a nuclear weapon.

Since Pakistan would face retaliation from Iran for a direct nuclear attack, it would serve Pakistani interests to arm a proxy group, in this case the Islamic State in Iraq.

The question would be why would Pakistan arm a group with a nuclear weapon that could easily be traced back to it?

For starters, Islamabad could deny culpability by blaming it on corrupt officials with access to its missiles. And it might well count on the fact that Tehran could not retaliate without certain proof of the origin of the missile.

Another reason why this strategy might be of interest to Pakistan is because it would be able to launch a counter attack with a weapon that is deployed beyond its borders in the event that it experiences a preemptive attack from either India or Iran.

Will Israel Win This War?

Israel is now confronted by the prospect of ISIS on its northern and southern border. This might be the most aggressive enemy that Israel will soon be forced to confront.

No Parole For Jonathan Pollard

Jonathan Pollard was convicted for passing classified information to Israel, a U.S. ally, with no intent to harm the U.S. Although he has been eligible for parole since approximately 1995, he has never applied for a parole hearing, according to Ron Olive the former head of counterintelligence in the Washington office of the Naval Investigative Service.

The reason is because under federal guidelines, a life sentence is approximately 30 years, meaning that Jonathan Pollard would be eligible for release in 2015. If Jonathan Pollard had requested a parole hearing he would have certainly been denied a hearing, and would have had to wait another 15 years until he could have requested a second parole hearing. Since he would have certainly been denied parole, a rejection would have only increased negative public opinion against him.

Since according to federal guidelines he should be released during this year, the question is what is holding the process back from taking place. Perhaps he is being used as a bargaining chip to restrain Israel from attacking Iran, or maybe the Obama administration will release him closer to the elections to boost the popularity of the Democratic Party.

It is incumbent upon those of good conscience to contact the White House and request the immediate release of Jonathan Pollard. The White House (202) 456-1111

Will Iran Use Its Nuclear Weapon Against Israel?

The international community and Iran have recently completed an agreement to regulate Iran’s development and usage of nuclear energy. The assumption is that this agreement has been reached before Iran was able to manufacture a nuclear weapon. Putting aside the question as to whether Iran has or does not have a nuclear weapon, the question is whether Iran would utilize the weapon against Israel if it had one.

The most obvious answer supported by the statements of the Iranian leadership is that the Iranian military would in fact be ready to use it. After all, they have continuously called for the destruction of Israel. But then the question is, why haven’t they launched a more conventional or unconventional attack on Israel up to now?

Perhaps it is because they fear a military reprisal by Israel that would reduce their infrastructure to rubble, an attack from which they would be unable to recover from for decades at minimum. But if that was the reason they held back from an attack, wouldn't they expect the same result if they launched a nuclear attack against Israel?

And if the Iranian leadership is guided by a Messianic belief that war would bring them to the end of days, wouldn’t they engage in this disastrous war with Israel, whether they went nuclear or not?

Iran might very well be waiting to launch a war once they have attained a nuclear weapon, but wouldn’t the outcome be the same destruction of Iran by Israel?

In other words, if Iran has not initiated a war with Israel up to now, knowing that it would assure their destruction as a nation, then why would they start a war just because they have a nuclear weapon?

If Iran does not want a reprisal from Israel that would destroy the foundations of their country, then why would their military ever use a nuclear weapon against Israel?

The difference is that up to now if Iran declared war against Israel, the response by Israel would be severe, but limited. While the Israeli military would destroy Iranian military assets it would not target civilian populations. But in order for the Messianic period according to Iranian clerics to begin they would need to create an “end of days” type of scenario.

The Iranian clerics know that if they launched a nuclear weapon against Israel, or any nuclear capable country, the response would be a nuclear one, creating a level of war that they believe would usher in their “final days” prophecy.

It is for this reason that it is incumbent upon the international community to ensure that nuclear energy development in Iran immediately be rescinded.
